The Fuggle is real.
In a world where hops like Sabro, Citra and Mosaic dominate, and hazy hop bombs are the beer du jour, finding a Fuggle hopped beer just isn’t as easy as it was back in 1875. Back then, Fuggle was very popular and widely used both for bittering as well as aroma.
Today, due to discovery and cultivation of hops with higher alpha acids and stronger yields, Fuggle is not the most popular hop on the block anymore, but that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious.
In honour of National IPA day last week, we brewed a Fuggle Black IPA for your enjoyment. With floral flavours and a hint of honey, black tea and mint, with a rich and smooth malt body and a gentle balancing bitterness to finish it’s a cracker.
Fuggles is now on tap!
