Our next Wednesday #bbcobeerrelease is…Jujube Sour!
When a friend of ours mentioned that he had a jujube farm near Inglewood (about an hour out of Brisbane) and that this year he yielded a particularly good crop, we couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if we added locally grown jujubes to our beer…and here it is!
What is a jujube you ask? It’s a small dark red fruit, with mild date-like sweetness and a slightly tart undertone of crisp apple.
We baked ours overnight and pressed them down into a concentrated syrup to add to our sour base. The result: a refreshing and tart sour. For the perfect food pairing to go alongside it, order our whole baked camembert with walnut crumble and honey.
Our Jujube Sour will be on tap from next Wednesday, March 24th.
