Brisbane Brewing Co. led the way for locals, creating Brisbane original brewpub back in 2005.

Since 2005, Brisbane Brewing Co. has been more than just an independent brewery—it’s been the heartbeat of local beer in Brisbane. We didn’t follow a trend. We started one, opening the doors to Brisbane’s Original Brewpub and putting fresh, locally brewed beer on the map.

Born in the heart of Brisbane, made for the people who call it home, we craft beers that suit the Queensland lifestyle—crisp, bold, refreshing, and full of flavour. From a Brissy Lager after mowing the lawn, to a Walker IPA with your crew at the pub, or a Raspberry Sour in the Sunday sun—we’re here for it all.

We’re not just pouring beers. We’re bringing people together. A proper pub. A local institution. And a reflection of everything we love about this city.

Brisbane Brewing Co. owners Grant and Michelle Clark, like that of many other Aussies, had been living abroad in London and came back inspired. Over there, they discovered the magic of the brewpub: fresh beer brewed on‑site, good food, and even better company.

So after wandering Europe and tasting the best of the best, they brought the vision home. That’s when Brisbane Brewing Co. was born—a proper pub serving fresh beer, made right here in the heart of Brisbane.

These days, you’ll find us in Woolloongabba and West End—still brewing, still pouring, still all about good times. Knock‑off beers, Sunday sessions, birthday bashes, or just a cracking pub feed—whatever you’re here for, we’ve got you.

And it’s not just beer. Our Clarence Ginger Beer and Hard Lemonade have become local faves, and our Reservoir Spirits range brings that same passion and precision to gin and vodka.

Brisbane brewing Co. Over the years

    2005 The Brewhouse opens

    In March 2005, the Clark’s first brewery opens in the Brisbane CBD on Albert Street. Brisbane locals enjoy this new trend of “boutique” beers.

    2008 - The Brewhouse Closes

    The building in Albert street is closed for demolition the Brisbane Brewing Co. brewery moves to Albion.

    2010 - The Clarence becomes Brewhouse

    Brisbane Brewing Co. has a new home The Clarks take the helm. After renovations in 2016, the venue is revitalised.

    2015 - Goodbye Albion, hello West End

    The taproom in West End opens and Brisbane locals enjoy our beer in droves, with two venues to choose from.

    2021 - Brisbane Brewing Co. beer is canned

    Walker, BPA, Brissy Lager and Nimbus are now available to take home in cans.

    Same owners, just a new name to bring everything together.

    Premium Gin and Vodka made right here in Brisbane, inspired by our tropical surrounds.

    Due to popular demand, these delicious drinks make their way into can.
