Brisbane Brewing Co. is excited to celebrate its 18th anniversary this Wednesday, March 29th, as the longest running independent brewery in Brisbane. We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing customers, dedicated staff, and passionate supporters who have been with us every step of the way.
Join us on March 29th at our brewery in West End to celebrate our 18th Anniversary with the release of our special beer – ’18 years of the Brisbanest Beer Imperial IPA’. And that’s not all – there will be cake and a chance to win an 18th birthday prize pack, filled with BBCo. merch, beer and other goodies.
Our love for good beer began after returning home to Australia from working in the UK. We were inspired by European brewpubs where the beer was produced on-site, and we wanted to bring that experience to Brisbane. That’s how, in 2005, our first venue, originally called Auroras and later renamed “The Brewhouse”, came to fruition in the CBD.
After three successful years, the building sold so we moved our brewing equipment to Albion and searched for the perfect pub, which we found in Woolloongabba 18 months later. In 2015, our brewery moved to West End and the brewery and taproom opened to great success. We’ve since renovated our Woolloongabba pub and changed its name to Brisbane Brewing Co. in 2021. We’re excited to have our first canned beer on shelves and to offer more products in the future.
We’ve been working hard on our brand, perfecting our beer recipes, and building a strong team for 18 years. We’re proud to have supported many local breweries, big and small, through events and collaborations, and a belief that “a rising tide lifts all boats”.
As our industry faces challenging times, we don’t take our success for granted. We feel a responsibility to brew beers that our locals love and to run venues that people want to visit and keep coming back to with their family and friends.
