Big news for Walker lovers out there – you’ll now be able to say “can of Walker thanks”.
Our first ever canned 375ml beer, Walker has a special place in our hearts. We’ve been brewing it for over 7 years and it’s won many awards, medaling at both the Royal Queensland Beer Awards and the Australian International Beer Awards.
The journey of canning this beer stared back in the first lockdown of 2020. With thousands of litres of beer on our hands and two closed venues, we had an excess of beer. At the time, we had always sold our beer directly to our customers at our venues and packaging was a new frontier for us. We quickly pivoted and put our beer in 330ml slimline cans. It was not how we envisioned entering into the world of packaged beer, but after that run, we knew we wanted to continue with it.
The beer branding has changed, and the beer, which is a favourite IPA for so many, is just as good. Big flavour, with a balanced, resinous mouthfeel, and plenty of citrus and pine notes from classic American hops. We hope you enjoy it in a can at home as much as you have in our venues.
